Hello! My name is Ms. Sparano, but many students call me Miss S. I am very excited to be the Library Media Specialist at the Woodville school. Right before I came to Wakefield, I graduated from Simmons College. At Simmons, I studied how to be a School Library Teacher. Before that, I went to Emerson College and studied publishing. And even before that, I lived in Connecticut with my family and dreamed of someday being surrounded by books.
Being a Library Media Specialist feels like the perfect job for me--I get to help students find information resources to inform their schoolwork and personal interests, I get to help teachers use innovative digital tools in the classroom, and I get to be surrounded by books!
Some of my favorite books are The Little Prince, Little House on the Prairie, The BFG, The Stinky Cheese Man, and Brown Girl Dreaming.
